These are strange times we are entering in our nation and our world. As citizens of earth and of heaven, we have a special part to play. Our Archbishops have written, “Our life is going to be less characterised by attendance at church on Sunday, and more characterised by the prayer and service we offer each day."

Online Joint Sunday Services

Our Mission Community Sunday service is be available via our interactive website at 10am, please join from 9:50am to enjoy a welcome chat with everyone before the service starts and feel free to stay on after the service for a virtual coffee and cake chat.

For children Rob will be sharing Children's Church via Youtube from 4pm.

Open Churches

Some of our churches are starting to open for private prayer. Please feel welcome to attend, but be aware of social distancing that is still in place - there will be notices explaining how each church is operating when you get there. Or get in touch for more information.

All Saints, Cockermouth: 10.00am to 11.30am Everyday

Christ Church Cockermouth: Thursday 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and Sunday 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm

Christ Church, Gt Broughton: 12.00 noon - 3.00pm, Sundays and Thursdays

St Cuthbert’s, Lorton: 10.00 am-12.00 noon, Mondays

St James’s, Buttermere: 10.00 am-12.00 noon, Wednesdays

St Bartholomew’s, Loweswater:10.00- am-12.00 noon, Fridays

Daily Hope Phone Line

A number of organisations have come together to produce the Daily Hope phone line

This is a fantastic resource where all you need to do is phone the FREE number from your phone and you have access to talks, hymns, prayer and services. Do tell other people about this - especially those who can't access online resources.

Other Events

Churches Together in the Cockermouth Area are hosting their very first online celebration! With guest speaker Martin Charlesworth. It is on Wednesday 1st July 7.30pm.

The event will be available simultaneously on Kings Church YouTube Channel  and Grasmoor Mission Community Online.Church  come early to grab a front row seat.

This looks like it will be an excellent event! 'See' you there!


VE Day

Godfrey led a short devotional service for VE Day on Friday, 8th May at 10am which is still available to view on the Grasmoor Mission Community Facebook page. Alternatively, you can use this printed service at home at any time. A short reflection to accompany the service can be found here.

Our Sunday Services

Following the Church of England guidance all our Sunday services have been suspended. However we will be continuing church online via video, social media and blog. A link to the service will be available on this page each week.

Our Parish Office

Our Parish Office is closed until further notice. If you need to contact us please use our email addresses. or complete the form at the bottom of the page and we will respond to your enquiry as soon as we can.

Our Churches

Our  physical church buildings are all closed .for the time being but we continue as a church in the community and online. Please regularly phone and email your normal contacts and especially those you know are isolated.

Our Events

All our church events and activities that use our buildings have been suspended until further notice.We are not taking new bookings at the moment as we don't know when we will be able to open our churches again.
